Build a Voice That Helps
Ein Sprachassistent mit klaren Grenzen.
Design a voice assistant for one simple task. Test whether it listens, answers clearly and knows when to hand over to a person.
Who it is for.
People exploring accessible information and simple support conversations.
What to bring.
Bring a short approved information sheet and example questions. Use fictional callers and prepared voice tools; participants need no programming experience.
What you take away.
- A voice assistant prototype for one defined task.
- A conversation guide with disclosure, boundaries and a human handover route.
- A test log covering successful exchanges, failures and unresolved questions.

The challenge.
A convincing voice can sound more capable than it is. How can a simple assistant help with a defined request while making its identity, knowledge and limits clear?
What you do.
Choose a small task, such as explaining opening hours. Define approved information, prohibited actions and the point at which a person takes over.
Build a voice prototype in a prepared test environment. Write an honest introduction and responses for missing or uncertain information.
Role-play ordinary questions, misunderstandings and unexpected requests. Check whether the assistant follows the agreed boundaries and revise its instructions.
Show what you have learned.
Demonstrate an unexpected request, explain the assistant’s response and show when you would require a human to take over.
